Biography of Rena KirklandRena's passion in dance and baton twirling as an adolescent has developed into a varied and fulfilling career in the fitness and health industry. Having won both National and World Championships, Rena continues to strive for excellence in her personal training business. Rena began her 10-year career in the fitness industry as a choreographer and instructor at Young Californians, a baton and dance studio. As Senior Coach from 1992–1995, Rena led numerous teams and individuals to State and Regional Championships. She went on to become director and facilitator of health seminars for audiences of all ages at the studio, producing workshops on nutrition, stretching, body image and other exercise and fitness topics. At the University of California at San Diego, Rena studied psychology with a focus in body perception. After graduation, she acted as a research assistant for several publications regarding body perception and phantom limb pain. At Flatiron Athletic Club in Boulder, Colorado, Rena was Director of
Fitness Advising until she launched AeroFitness Personal Training. Now
she strives to help her clients achieve a sense of fitness, self-esteem
and passion through their physical and mental strengths. |
